SEO marketing is about organic SEO, that is the non-paid search results. Any good SEO experts will tell you it’s not about the SEO tools or black hat SEO (well, not all, but most). My point is that it’s about the process.
SEO optimization for dummies
1. Do keyword research and competitor analysis to select which keywords to target.
2. Write good SEO optimized web pages with good title tags, alt texts, targeted text, URLs and so on..
3. Build internal links
4. Build external links (link building & link bait)
5. Analyze the results, track keywords in Google search results and with Google Analytics. How well is your keywords converting to wanted action?
6. Start over again..

I was in Oslo to learn and have fun, and the big city did not disappoint me. Actually I was quite surprised how good Gulltaggen turned out to be. Thanks to Metronet, Gulltaggen, INMA and all the cool people at Gulltaggen.
The most important thing learned from Gulltaggen 2009 – hire a 23 yeard old!

Gulltaggen 2009 – my notes and other stuff
Registration was made really easy with bar code scanning, very cool. All you had to do was download a picture on your cell phone. Also I enjoyed the food and candy

PageRank sculpting and Nofollow
Posted on 04. Jun, 2009 by geir ellefsen in blog
What’s up with PageRank and Nofollow? Why did Google change it?
“Nofollowing a link no longer passes more juice through te remaining live links” – seomoz, rand fishkin
PageRank sculpting explained by searchengineland – Danny Sullivan:
“Consider it like this. Imagine authority is money, and a particular page has $10 in “authority” to spend. It links out to 10 pages, so each of those pages gets $1 ($10 divided by 10). If it links to 20 pages, each gets 50 cents ($10 divided by 20). If it links to 5 pages, each page gets $2 (you get the math by now).
With PageRank sculpting, the idea is to effectively block some of the links on your web page (using the nofollow attribute or some other means) from getting any authority. Perhaps you have a lot of navigational links to other pages inside your web site. Rather than spend authority money on these pages, you might prefer to spend it on a smaller number of important pages that could use a boost.”
Matt Cutts started this at SMX Advanced. PageRank sculpting was being discussed, Matt Cutts apparently said that PageRank sculpting with nofollow is no longer working.
